5.) Strategic Planning, Management, & Continuous Quality Improvement
Strategic planning is a process designed to help local and governmental leaders make effective choices and to prioritize scarce resources. The central focus of strategic planning is developing a good fit between the organization’s activities and the demands of surrounding environments. Strategic planning looks at the big picture: the long-range destiny of the institution, the competition between the organization and others in its environment, the market for organizational products and services, and the mix of internal resources to accomplish the organization’s purpose.
We realize that different organizations start at different places and have different needs. Therefore, we customize the strategic planning process to meet the organization’s particular situation. Many organizations seek a comprehensive package of services, beginning with data gathering and analysis, and continuing through plan writing several steps later. Other organizations seek only assistance with areas such as statistical analysis and survey work, group facilitation, or visioning.
